Wazdakka Gutsmek

After 9 and a bit hours I finished the first stage of him~! The current to-do list looks a bit like this;
  • Greenstuff pipes, front armour, hinged for rear-guard, clean up mistakes, etc
  • Add something for the underbelly of the bike, more fuel maybe, more ammo, more tech, not sure
  • Find a big enough base for him. The model doesn't fit GWS biggest base, so I'm gonna have to find some way around that (I have an idea but it might not be pretty - until I greenstuff it of course)
Still, I'm happy with the main bulk of the work, so I present to you all~ My Wazdakka Gutsmek =D

Here's a size comparison to the other bikes as well~

He doesn't actually stand upright any more (I blame the dakkacannon <_< ) so he's held there with blu-tac xD I've also not glued him onto the bike, as I've made that mistake with the other bike there, then cried at the idea of trying to paint the hard to reach area's

The creation of Wazdakka Gutsmek

I'm attempting to make my own Wazdakka model.... The standard has to be high, as his awesome must dwarf that of the rest of my army, The model must be made of an orks wet dream~!

brb, need to appease Gork and Mork

.........

I started him at midnight on the 22nd of February and 9 hours later He's pretty much done , i still need to clean him up and green stuff over parts to finish the model off to the standard I want.

But the plan was simple. Combine an work wartrukk engine with a warbike~!

The plan is simple... combine a Warbike with the engine for a wartrukk

These are part of the core ingredients for this project. I had to make a front wheel support/suspension as the normal ork bike wasn't gonna cut it (plus it looked too weedy!)

Plus I didn't quite realise just hog much *bigger* the engine was to the bike (but thats fine...Wazdakka's meant to have the biggest and the bestest bike out there! big engine = win)

Using some stormboyz rokkit parts I then made the underbelly/front of the engine into a kinda rokkit/jet contraption as I thought it just looked silly ending flat underneath the front wheel

Also added the back tire, footrest and another front armour for support

I needed to green stuff the front on in the end, reinforced it with some super glue so it would hold firm whilst I continued working on other stuff, and would also let me tease it into a better position later if need be.

Added some extra support for the back wheel, it also made it look like the wheel was attached to the bike now, rather than just glued onto the wheel arc. Added on the ammo feed rack at the back, I wasn't sure how I was gonna use it at the time, but the back did need beefing up a bit, otherwise the model would be front heavy~

Wazdakka's bike is know for being heavily "kustomised" so I figured the more pipes and exhaust pipes I could fit on the better~! the wartrukk had a great big exhaust pipe which fit perfectly on the model~ I also began adding some tech onto his back from the lootas/burnas kit, to give it the feel that there was a lot of hardware on this bike and not just a bike

Fuels gotta be somewhere right~? I figured Wazdakka would be crazy enough to expose his fuel to the enemy and dare them to shoot it, dat kray-zeh ork~ (I also had a fun idea about adding a straw/tube to it, so it looks like he also drinks his fuel when he's thirsty)

Almost on the home straight now, started adding all the small parts; cross-hairs, a micro-missile from the lootas kit, handlebars... small stuff. I also Blu-tac, the wazdakka model I quickly made from the bikers kit (and yush that is a chain klaw you see there, it needs a bit of greenstuffing to make it seemless and natural)

Then I realised "Oh Snap! I forgot his dakkacannon, so I knocked this gun up. I think it was about 7:30am now. My creative spark for wavering a bit (I did want a cannon but I didn't have the parts to make one)

WIP Stormboyz

Finally got around to making my stormboyz~! They were one of the first boxsets I bought and I'm only making them now (I did plan to paint one unit before making another but... that didn't go to plan xD)

The kit itself was awesome, easily the best looking models in the ork army. And thanks to all the other ork boxes I got I've really been able to mix and match parts from different kits, I'm pretty sure that no model is completely stormboy~

I did make a lil mistake for my "boss" in this squad... I accidentally used the wrong ork boy when attaching it to the "kustom" base, as a result he's the only one on the ground. I do like the model though, its got that lazy sergeant feel (I blame the cigar~)

The rokkits aren't made yet and the heads aren't glued on (After painting 1 squad of boys I found how annoying it as to paint models when they've got their heads on (and/or arms covering their chest) The only one thats glued is the "boss" (which I'm sure I could pass off as Boss Zagstruk if I needed too, which is tempting... his stats are nice~)

Overall I'm very happy with the squad so far, I cant wait to get them up to full strength once my friends sends me her five stormboyz she's kindly made and painted for me =D

Wurr's boy Nob squad part 1

Yeah so... I had to convert at least one of the nobs as well... which was lucky, almost armed him with anothr big choppa before realising I had pointed the squad with 1 power klaw, so naturally I gave one a power klaw... a kustum power klaw (complete with a rokkit... to make it go fasta you understand)

also decided to add a picture of the squad, they look rather menacing if I do say so myself =D

Wurr boyz Nob squad part 2

Just like with the rest of the ork kits, the Nob boxset was a lot of fun to make~ There wasn't much need to heavily convert these bad boys the models already had lots of character to them, though obviously I added a few pieces here and there~

Pain boy

I wasn't too big of a fan of the normal painboy model (the special character one is nice though) so I made my own, as normal now with my orks. I'm rather happy with its apron and 'urty syringe and the green stuff, (I feel it could of been better on the apron though)

Lawls

Kek, I tried to paint. I can assure you, those highlights are from the camera and not my painting skills.

Dem boyz just keep on giving!

Seriously... its such a pleasure to mod and convert work models with the kits they have. I've been tossing about the idea of having a stormboy squad in my army and of course, the nob would have a powah klaw, alas the stormboyz box doesn't have a power klaw arm, so I thought I'd made my own !

One of my friends has a slight obsession with screaming "Panzerfaust" at things, so in tribute to him I literally made a Rokkitfist =D

Is mah spah eye boss! i see finks dem boyz dont boss !

Remember how there's one model in every army that you love, it always makes it armour save? and you loving give it a name and a background story? Well I've jumpped the gun and made one ! I present to you, Monocle Ork !! He see's all with his Kustom eye gubbinz!
